1. These crunching stats that you see below from 3 of our Co-Captains are good, yet not great.
2. Following the the statement above, you should at least try to crunch similar stats as noted. Yes, it's that easy! Don't you think it's the pending validation jail? Seems to be in my case. Some lazy crunchers out there  |

----------------------------------------Server issues at both Free-DC stats and the WCG: Wednesday April 15th. Database Server is down again. Just noticed when I woke up. Will see what is going on. Have to put this up to stop the webserver making thousands of calls to it and overloading. Bok from Free-DC --------------- uplinger World Community Grid Tech Short server outages today April 14, 2015 We are updating the firmware on our database servers. This requires us to move manually migrate the servers. During this time the website will be unavailable for about 5 minutes each time. I meant to post this earlier but did not. We still have 2 more 5 minute outages coming. Thanks, -Uplinger *EDIT* no power at all to mobo, looks like the PSU has given up. I'll see if I can find another. [Apr 14, 2015 5:38:06 PM] ** uplinger World Community Grid Tech Re: Short server outages today April 14, 2015 Currently we are about 30 minutes behind on validation, I would guess the remaining results will be caught up by that time. The new database servers installed a few months ago are quite a bit faster as a delay of validation by 12 hours would have taken more than 3 hours to catch up. A good example of the upgrade, but not a true stress test of the system :). The Connection Reset was what I did see on FireFox and that was normal. We were hopeful that the outage to the website was going to be in the range of three 5 minute outages, but during a migration we encountered an issue and had to take more time in collecting data to help determine the root cause. Winter Weather Advisory in effect from 6:00 PM MDT until Friday, 12:00 PM MDT. Source: U.S. National Weather Service Oh well. ----------------------------------------(FYI: Top 50 in both Points Generated and in Results Returned at yesterday's last update) Snow, rain, then snow and rain, then "thunder snow" (yes, that is what the meterologist called it on the local news), followed by sleet, major slush (that slush was by far the heaviest snow, ice, 'mixture' etc, that I have ever shoveled at about 6:50AM this morning. Now, we are waiting for hail, the stuff I mentioned above and the strange thing was the lightning and thunder all at the same time. The weather folks were glad to scamper back inside. Weird morning to say the least. Sorry for the weather junk. You had to see it to believe it.
