We have a new guy, just need to see the stats to see who it is. But i did get the CPU that Lasis sent me. I will have that machine up shortly. Tomorrow I have another AMD64 that i can overclock to be the same as a 3000+ machine. Just having some linux driver problems.

I had to pull of the Dual Quad Core Xeon, which accounted for a bit of crunching, but it is now in production as a SQL server.

I have a dual 2.4Ghz Xeon/2GB system (running XP Pro), I've been poking around the IBM site but can't seem to find if that mainboard will support dual or quad cores. It would be interesting to swap out the 2 Xeon 2.4Ghz for dual/quad core Xeons... Any idea how I find out if the board would support dual/quads? ![]() ![]() ![]() |

..i did get the CPU that Lasis sent me. I will have that machine up shortly. Oh, finally! I was thinking it have gone MIA. Our mail service is pretty "famous" for such things. I was never able to overclock FSB for more than some 236-237 without test shoving CPU calculation error, so I left it 233-234 (that's around +15%), but looks like it's not because of CPU as it's the same with new one, mainboard maybe (good old NVIDIA nF3), at least changing RAM/CPU frequency ratio was no use. So, how far can you push it? ![]() |
