All together now, the final monthly record of 2007 at 6,059 CPU years for December was blasted aside by 6,337 CPU years in January, an increase of 278 years. With this the daily average for last month stands at 204,4 years. This made it the first month breaking through the daily average barrier of 200.
----------------------------------------The different projects making up the record had CPU Year contributions from the members as follows (sorted from oldest to newest project with ranking in brackets): During the month we completed 8,948,908 work units or 3,34 results per second. How much terabytes in data the work units, science-software and results needed to be send up and down I'll leave for others to take a stab at. WCG has implemented some very nifty tricks with e.g. HPF2 both for dial-up and permanent internet connected crunchers to minimize the size.
