Our Discovering Dengue Drugs – Together project has currently benefited from >3,700 years of computer processing time on World Community Grid. We are grateful to those individuals who have unselfishly volunteered their computers to help in our quest to find cures to dengue, West Nile, and Hepatitis C diseases.
A more complete update can be found on our website: www.utmb.edu/discoveringdenguedrugs%2Dtogether/Project%20Status.htm Again, thank you, since this project would not be possible without your help. Stan Watowich |

Reading this correct the below quote indicates removal of the Quorum 2 Redundancy?
----------------------------------------Additional docking calculation optimizations are entering beta testing. These optimizations will enable us to reach our goal of screening our ligand library against a single protein in less than 2 weeks. This involves packaging multiple ligands (~10) into a single workunit, thereby minimizing file transfer bottlenecks. In addition, checksum error checking will be embedded within each workunit, eliminating the use of redundant calculations to validate each workunit. This is great but poses an interesting hurdle for the points award system. How is WCG going to handle that part of the verification?

Greetings Sek,
We are in the process of increasing the actual scientific calculations that happen through World Community Grid on Discovering Dengue Drugs - Together. Right now the average runtime per day is lower than the other 3 projects with consistent work. We would like this distribution to be equal between the projects. As for the removal of the Quorum redundancy, we are working on fair method of distributing points and validating the work is proper. Validating that the calculations were proper is our highest priority though. -Uplinger |

Are we running out of WU for this project? I had configured my system to work DDDT WU but in the last 2 our 3 days i have been receiving FA@H and HPF2.

Are we running out of WU for this project? I had configured my system to work DDDT WU but in the last 2 our 3 days i have been receiving FA@H and HPF2. Thanks :) I believe (please don't quote me) that they are having trouble with the "feeder" and issuing work has been spotty. They inadvertently made the faah work too small and it is causing bottlenecks. I guess for a little while you have to take what you can get. If I read right (and again please don't quote me) they should have the problem fixed in 24 hours or so. I believe this information is correct, but if someone wants to correct me please feel free to do so. |

If possible, I would be interested in a percent complete and an estimated time to completion. It is just a curiousity, so if that isn't the kind of information you have available to you, that is fine. But it would be something that would be interesting to me.

This is the last found via the WCG research progress link: http://www.utmb.edu/discoveringdenguedrugs-together/Project%20Status.htm
----------------------------------------Soon we are going to switch to single copy (no more quorum), to speed up the progress according WCG tech information (see earlier posts in this thread) The target is to do this project in 1 year and it's running 6 months now). Phase II using the CHARMM software engine will be started before Phase I, using the AutoDock engine, is finished and will run in parallel, capacity permitting).
