you may want to try reinstalling BOINC in 'Service' mode. I believe that is how I have it installed.  When I look under "Services" I see "World Community Grid - BOIND Agent" is Started. |

The error occurred again this morning with the screen saver set to "Blank".
I believe this proves that the "Windows Picture Slideshow" screen saver is not contributing to this BOINC problem. |

Do you have any more diagnostic information for us to work with? I see nothing of concern in any of the std[err|out]* files. Reviewing my Results Status pages for this device, I have 6 items "In Progress", with only one Workunit Status report showing 3 "Error" results out of 22 - "Human Proteome Folding - Phase 2, Name: ln595_00050". My Results Status page also shows 6 "Valid" items with return times of today. The Result Logs of those look fine to my eye, as long as I ignore the many "Failed to get VersionInfo size" (and one adjacent "ERROR: Restoring checkpoint failed. Unable to restore state!"). Three of those 6 "Valid" items (all with the "ln" prefix) show occasional "Error" results in their Workunit Status reports. What additional detail would be helpful?
