BONIC

I'm on Windows Vista Home Edition with Intel(R) Core(TM)2 CPU 6300 @ 1.86GHz, 1867 Mhz, 2 Core(s), 2 Logical Processor(s) and I was having BIG problems with BONIC and I went back to version 5.8.16 and loaded on the root of C:\ and I have had ZERO problems.

Thank you for the suggestion to load it on the root of the C drive!

Re: BOINC

Installing software in Root, speak C:\ , is not a recommended way, rather C:\BOINC\ is preferred until release 6.2 final comes out splitting off the Software Install and Data Placement locations (choice offered). When that release will be out is not known to me. The progress chart shows there is still an enormous amount of work to be done.

rose Re: BOINC

Hi I know it's been a while, and I know that I'm under a new screen name.. But this is/was "forfor".

I need to correct myself, yes I did do C:\BONIC\ and not just under C:\

Sorry that I didn't get back to this thread.
