I am having an ongoing problem with one of my Windows 2000 machines reporting 'task bahbah exited with zero status but no finished file' I have reset the project and I still get them from time to time.
Some of the reading that I have been doing has suggested that it can be some BOINC corruption so I deinstalled BOINC and removed the directories. I then downloaded the latest version 5.10.20 and am running it. It ran for about an hour before it posted the first 'task exited ' message. Can anyone suggest what I need to troubleshoot? Todd |

There is a topic in the Start Here forum on the matter. The latest one think seeing flashing by, and not covered there and Linux related, was mentioning permissions. Check that any of the BOINC directories and subs of BOINC are not 'Read Only' for the owner or user running the programs and science.
----------------------------------------Long as you get the 'if you have this more frequent' the job is fine and just restarting from last checkpoint saved.

I will keep an eye on this machine to make sure that it uploading valid WU but the post that you mentioned was very helpful. I should have checked those FAQs before I posted. Thanks for the support Todd |
