It's been a while since this project's status was updated (October 31, 2007).
Has there been any exciting/interesting developments to report about? |

There are like 3 monthly meetings between WCG and the project owners (not written in stone), so maybe mid/later feb something pops up. Just bookmark that link.

Hi,
Thanks for the interest. Sekerob is right that we have a status report planned around mid February. (Teaser) Just recently however we've been getting good results on our function prediction method which takes the structures you've folded and figures out what they're actually doing in the cell. This is key step in the process so biologists can easily make sense of all this data. And one of the main reasons this is working so well is because our crunchers did such a good job of crunching. ![]() More soon. Thanks, Kevin Drew, Bonneau Lab |

yes, as many have said. thanks for the update. but i would like to take it a little further and suggest that more updates are delivered more frequantly. even if there is nothing spactacular to comment on. It will keep people more interested. Hopefully new poeple that join this project wont leave becuase they feel nothing is really happening behind the senes.
More up dates would also be a way of giving back to the people that contribute all the time. |

It will keep people more interested. Project scientists are very busy and we are grateful for the status updates they provide. There are recent updates for most of the active projects in the forums (HPF2, DDDT, HCC, and FAAH). Dr. Perryman in particular frequently posts in the FAAH forum and answers most members' questions. More up dates would also be a way of giving back to the people that contribute all the time. Contribute all the time...like you? You know what I think? The projects are supposed to provide frequent updates -
----------------------------------------Here's hoping it will last. The excellent FAAH updates should serve as a model. [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Feb 4, 2008 6:05:33 PM] |
