Regarding ironing, i learned a VERY long time ago, as a boy sailor, to iron clothes fit for the Captains inspection! I have ironed ever since! and Peter...There is no such thing as Non Iron clothing!  |

Just had a meeting of the
----------------------------------------local sick and frail on our street Old work Mate three down taken in to Horspital suddenly is going to have pacemaker fitted next to him guy who has cancer of bladder just spent the week in Barrow horspital for treatment The my immediate next door who had the hernia repair in Lancaster the same day as I had mine in Kendal The other side of me hes just Do- Lally-Tap beyond him the guy has just had Hip replacement  We are getting together to erect a Bulletin board to keep the rest of the street informed of our health status ---------------------------------------- [Edit 1 times, last edit by densnaps at Feb 16, 2008 1:30:27 PM] |

Just decided that at the age of 67, standing on my head for a couple of hours replacing wash basin taps in the en-suite & family bathroom is now no longer for me....all that laying flat out, hands in the air with pipe-wrenches, struggling with tight nuts is enuff....made me dizzy.
Any further plumbing can be done by the proffesionals.... (for those across the pond, taps=fawcets.....)  |

Good resolution Scribe but I just read in the paper this morning than there are now more Poles leaving the country than are coming in. So you better be quick!
And I'm just thinking that soon I shall have to think about changing some washers. What fun life is. Still the sun shone again today and this magic box tells me that it's going to continue to do so for at least a couple of days. |
