Re: THE EDWARDIANS - MARCH ON

smile A wee poem cum song from the works of Robert Burns to those of you that celebrate Burn's night tonight.

'THE REEL OF STUMPIE'

Wap and rowe, wap and rowe,
Wap and rowe the feetie o't,
I thought I was a maiden fair,
Till I heard the greetie o't

My daddie was a fiddler fine,
My minnie she made a mantie, O,
And I myself a thumpin quine,
And danc'd the Reel o' Stumpie, O,

Epitaph to the Bard

He who of Rankine sang, lies stiff and deid,
And a green, grassy hillock hides his heid;
Alas! Alas! a devilish change indeed!.
-----------------------------------------------
I don't pretend to understand a single word but many a 'Canny Scot' will!, So I wish you's all a cup of kindness for Auld lang syne and raise my glass to you and yours

Hmm confused They are either out with the girls or may be hibernating?

Good morning to you all, a brand new week begins and Spring is starting to show in the garden the Snowdrops are nodding thier heads
and little green shoots are peeping out of the soil waiting and watching for thier first glimps of the Sun, don't shed those thermals yet tho', mother nature is rather unpredictable.

Have a great day all

Re: THE EDWARDIANS - MARCH ON

Good morning everyone.
Sorry I wasn't here yesterday, not a good day I am afraid, but today should be better! biggrin
Will certainly be glad when we get back to springtime, as old sage says, the bulbs are pushing their heads above ground and that's a good sign that life is still going on!
As for where the girls are Merle, I have no idea. Sigal Evy and Brenda are busy girls, Grandma Pachi seems to have disappeared, and chocolate orange never did post. Perhaps it's time for us to start recruiting in earnest? Jp as chief recruiter, over to you!
I guess I out to start a new team thread soon too, this one is getting over large.
Have a good day everyone take care on the icy roads.

Re: THE EDWARDIANS - MARCH ON

So you reckon I'm not busy then, Herr Capitan? crying How about the argument that everything takes me 3 times as long as it should as I am still in the "do it at snail pace" mode. (Btw, I am back at the doctors again this morning for yet another set of tests!) crying crying

PS: Brenda will tell you, she's round here all the time trying to get me back to my original persona!! devilish

Re: THE EDWARDIANS - MARCH ON

Good morning everyone. Aquired 3 more machines this weekend. The local computer shop asked me to haul off thier junk, one was a P4 1.4 with nothing wrong with it. Can you believe the stuff people throw away. Too bad no one lives closer to me, I have about 100 machines in various states of disassembly. I just don't have the knowledge to build anything out of them.

Y'all have a great day smile
