Morning all. Nice and warm here (With the Central Heating on!
)You might not have noticed this, it also applies to the Rice Programme Change in Fight AIDS @ Home work unit runtime -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Greetings, We are changing the length each work units runs on your machine. The work units in the past have been estimated to run about 10 hours per work unit. This is an average over all the member machines. We are now targeting 6 hours per work unit with the new batches. The new batches that are targeting 6 hours each start with batch 4950. Sekerob has a nice graph in the FAQs that show the runtime averages for each project. http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread?thread=18277 The graph I refer to is the labeled "WCG Project Task Average Run Time" |

Evening all
Strange things happening at the moment. I have a Human Protein unit crunching away where the work time shows 31+ hours, the current time as 32+ hours and the progress under 16% I'll see what it looks like tomorrow and if there is no sensible progress, abort it. Anyway, hope you're all having a good weekend. |

Morning all. ![]() I'm quoite happy with centigrade, even mm's, cm's and m's for measuring short distances, but driving has to be done in miles! (and on the LHS of the road! ) It's a real squall out there! [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Jan 17, 2009 11:18:00 PM] |

Good morning to all and Chips "Problem with this metric stuff is that it costs more! look at the price of a litre of fuel compared to a good old fashioned gallon, and the money buys less too!, 2 and a half pence won't buy you anything yet that is the equivalent of a tanner! I could buy my Beano and a liquorice dip for a tanner and still have a penny change." " Will they be changing the 7 day week to a 10 day (metric) week next or chop 2 weeks of the end of the year (50 weeks instead of 52) thus getting rid of Christmas?" European friends come and join us before it's too late, after all being 'BRITISH' is wot made us so 'GREAT' You all have a fun day now ......
