Another pensioner first up I see!
Good morning everyone!

You have to be joking! When I first arise I have to take the pain killers and wait until they take effect before I can 'do' anything. (I sqeeze in breakfast at this point - means I can sit down for a bit!) Then come the ablutions and the moisturising of the knees and legs, having first tackled the removal of my 'embolism' stockings - get one pair off and the next pair on - not an easy job as they are so tight!; then there is the icing of the knee - crucial but that takes about half an hour; then there is the hotbrushing the hair (probably not essential from a male point of view, but absolutely essential from where I am sitting! especially as my place is a bit like Piccadilly Circus at the moment so I have to try and look half-way human!) At this point I am pretty exhausted so take the opportunity to elevate my leg - very crucial several times a day! If I don't fall asleep again then, I might 'do' a couple of small jobs, or take a few of the several hundred 'phone calls a day! Do you get my drift .....................?

In spite of everything, I think I am making progress. Got to get up and running before the next trip to Regents Park, or the beach in Poole

Glad to hear you're up and about Merle. The more I hear about total joint replacement, the more I tolerate my knee. If I lived closer, I'd be happy to lend a hand.
