 Good morning all ...........Back from my jolly in Crete, little disappointed with the weather out there, rained the first day and was overcast on several others, had a good rest however and the Cretean food was excellant; A Warm welcome to our new crunchers  ; You have joined probably the most gooney team on the planet  but they are very loveable, a bit like puppy dogs that wag their tails whilst peeing on your lap  a very warm reception if you get the gist!.Seriously tho', they are the best so stay around and forget the rest. OI!! I just noticed that you lot have more pretty icons under your name than me. How did that happen? (Never noticed them before either) LOL  It's 'cause I'm a good boy scout.and I keep my woggle in trim This websit is good !! |

Peter I have had one for a while, and find it invaluable, saves having to look at maps all the while. You must keep its maps up to date though, they change often. I updated the maps last night - it took 4 hours! About 2.5 to download the latest Yurp map of 900+ MB, despite broadband and 1.5 hours to actually update the SatNav over what I guess is a USB 1 connection - argh!  The first update was free though, which was something  Sadly the cost of subscribing to subsequent updates probably isn't worth it. For that sort of money I could by a new one every 3 years.  (I'll keep my fingers crossed they don't move too many roads about. )  It was a good day out today. Crisp and sunny. The route was to Cerne Abbas, to see the giant. Then Poundbury for a quick look at Prince Charles' model village, Hardy's Monument and the Abbotsbury Swannery. There was no way I could have made my way round all the little lanes in Dorset with a map. I even had time to stop in Weymouth for a bag of chips before heading home.  NN  |
