It was bad enough when MS stopped updates in '06. I still have several machines on 98 because the HD's aren't big enough for XP and I don't have a copy of 2000 or Millenium.
If I'm elected President that will be one more thing I'll change. LAW- a company must support it's goods as long as there are users or supply the users with new product at no charge. biggrin

You will be able to run existing projects on those, it's just that they stopped testing new projects on 98.

Built in obsolescence
if it still does what you want the machine to do dont worry...
I dont know why MS cannot continue Support if just for good will
and heaven knows Bill Gates & co could do with some of that

Evening all

Thanks for the link René. Why I found it strange was that we've been buying fresh broad beans for a couple of months now so I am suprised the freezing process hasn't started before now.

As for 98 it's stable and no hacker is likely to bother with it so, unless you want a newer bit of software, there's no need to change it.

A few showers here today but the gardening session manages to miss them.
