Re: THE EDWARDIANS - MARCH ON

Evening all

Sunny and warm all day here too despite forecast of heavy showers.

Got the second load of washing going and that was the straw etc as the machine decided it's had enough and refuses to spin.

Well, it had to happen sometime. It's been going for nigh on 20 years without a moan. I'm only slightly peeved because this had hot and cold inputs so you could use the boiler to give you what was necessary. Now you can get only single cold input which means more leccy bills.
I wrote to Which about this saying that it didn't sound very green, but no comment came back.

I remember seeing one letter in the paper from a guy who's just installed a roof panel to supply his hot water needs and now can't get a machine to make use of it.

Well, it's not far to the nearest laundrette whilst I look around for the best option.

I had the same problem last year, with new machine only having a cold feed. Although the new more modern detergents really do work well at lower temperatures if that helps, it isn't just cynical marketing on the detergent industry's part. biggrin

shame about the guy with solar panels though sad
