After SETI.Germany we're the 2nd largest German speaking BOINC team in world. Everything started in 1999 with a hobby website about AMD processors. Our distributed computing section was founded back in 2000 with the goal to overtake the team of Intel at SETI Classic which already had an advance of more than 1 million credits. Well, we reached this goal and since then our DC section became bigger and bigger.
2006 and 2007 we saw a big growth of our team due to various races against SETI.USA and other teams. We won many races and achieved 4 number one places (SIMAP, Spinhenge, QMC, Rectilinear Crossing Numbers), but in the end SETI.USA was too strong for us and we lost 2 of them again (QMC and RCN), but also reached a new one (POEM).

Currently we're 8th in BOINC combined stats and will be 7th within the next two days. The team Electronic Sports League (ESL) is attacking our first place at Spinhenge and we'll probably lose it (ESL has more than 6 times more members). If you want to help us with Spinhenge or enforce our WCG team, you're welcome to visit us at www.planet3dnow.de. We've also a Folding@Home team (currently 57th).
