Good morning :)
----------------------------------------I never did this before, so I was wondering what happens if I use the 'lock my computer' function. Will BOINC still run like normal uploading and downloading, or will all network activity be stopped? Also to unlock it do you just put your password in? I am using Vista as Administrator, and BOINC 5.10.30. Thanks! Diana G. ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by Diana G. at Jan 7, 2008 11:30:27 AM] |

The Windows + L-Key stops random access to the computer by an opportunist, but leaves everything running in a user session including network connectivity. It's the same as the function of a screen-saver with password protection. The preferred screen-saver is a blank one. Does not eat CPU time and uses least power of the video display card.
