smile No work

I have returned from the Christmas break today and have had to abort the work that was being done as it had exceeded its return deadline. I can no longer get any work, even though I have updated to the latest version of Bionc as I was running 5.8. and thought the upgrade might resolve the problem.

Re: No work

Hello crooks_uk,
Message from server: (reached daily quota of 3 results)

It could be worse. You could have a daily quota of 2 work units. As you return valid work units, your quota will start expanding. Faster is to get the staff to reset your quota, but New Year's is the wrong time to ask for special twiddling on the server.

What does your Results Status page show?

Thanks for the prompt response Lawrence. I currently have 2 units running which will complete in about 3 hours. My quota with 5.8 was 2, but installing 5.10 allowed me to download one unit. The other unit is one which I didnt abort as its deadline is the 4th Jan.

I just dont want to run out of work in 3 hours!!

Re: No work

It's a new year.

Hopefully this glitch will soon be over and everything back to normal.

Wish I could help, but the automatic recovery will eventually work.

You could experiment with another project just to keep your computer warm: http://boinc.berkeley.edu/projects.php
