shock No work to process

My PC has not processed any work since 1/29. I have not changed any settings in the client application. Does anyone know why my PC is not receiving any jobs to process?

To see if the program is loading when you start your computer, look in
Start/Programs/Startup to see if it contains World Community grid Agent

Do you have the WCG Icon on the TaskBar at bottom right hand side, if so Double Click on it and see below

First question: Is there a percentage showing in the Task Execution Progress Window
If so, Click on the i and look at the graph to see if there is any activity
If the answer to both questions is Yes then let it continue to run
The current Work Unit will complete eventually, or time out and send you a new Work Unit

If the answer to both is No, follow these instructions
Right click on the Task Bar and select Task Manager
Click on Processes and locate Rosetta.exe
Click on Rosetta.exe and click on End Process
Then locate ud.exe and click on End Process
This will close down the WorldCommunityGrid Agent

Go to Start/Programs/World Community Grid
Click on World Community Grid Agent to restart the program
It should now attempt to connect to the server and download a new work unit, providing you are connected to the Internet
If this does not solve your problem, please advise
Regards

You may want to Uninstall and Reinstall the WCG Agent to see if this will solve your problem
Please let me know how you get on

Sometimes it helps to just restart your computer

Fizimble and Jorgen,

Have you tried to "Contact Us "?

If you continue to have problems, tech support is only an email away!

I have solved the problem by downloading it again, since the file I had on my pc did not work. Thenm all was fine.

Re: : No work to process

Good work Jorgen! I hope Fizimble had similar success in getting his agent running again.

Re: No work to process

Thanks for your help guys. I ran into this problem myself over the past few days. Several attempts to unistall and reinstall without restarting the PC in between was unsuccessful.

I finally uninstalled the software, deleted the installation directory, rebooted the PC, re-installed the agent and registered. Now everything is back to normal.

Thanks again for the info!
