I am signed up for the Aids, cancer and the Denque projects but not the protein folding project. I just got a protein folding work unit named ll038_00009 along with 19 other people who have also received the same work unit.

It sounds as though they were working on the other projects you were signed up for, so you got a work unit from an alternate project. knreed has been fiddling with the transitioner on BOINC today.

They're not identical. Each is slightly different and unique.
