what i saw is only up to 500MB used for uploaded system on 2xCPU MBO, so that is for 2xHCC project tasks running...
----------------------------------------my MBO is rather old & with 440BX chipset (768MB of RAM limit)...so i would recommend to anybody who uses mine BP6 or later VP6 model (which has the limit of 1GB of RAM)... also, my Q: are there any other low RAM project running also? |

Aids and Dengue seem like pretty easy loads.

There's really no hard and firm guideline, but to say that if a device meets the Minimum System Requirements Recommendation, the least it will be noticed by the person using the computer (there are some extraneous brief conditions it can).
----------------------------------------A thread was created where members can reports actual usage data, so a matrix in the opening post can be kept up to date: http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread?thread=14608 Some systems are not very good at running multiple HCC jobs in parallel, though they have the smallest footprint at present. For discussion and continuation review / join other existing threads on "Page Faults". Edit: Corrected second link to matrix.

i know that!
----------------------------------------but FA@h & HPF2 should be low on memory consumtion... taking the 2x HPF2 projects on my machine results in 900MB page file! taking the 2x FA@h projects sometimes it results in 550MB to 900MB of page file! so it varies... so i took those projects offline for only this computer that i use for the typewriter & internet browsing...'cause even though i have the 768MB of RAM, that is not enough for the WinXP & 2x (large scale) projects! other computers have the single core with 512/1024MB of RAM, so they take the 1x project for crunching...all of them use the Default project preferences... i'll keep track of results for the BP6 machine... if there is problems with HCC, then i'll switch it off! |

Fixed the link to the matrix in previous post and looked thru but you're definitely the first to report 900mb VM on 2 concurrent HPF2 & FA@H jobs. That suggests that both jobs get virtually entirely pushed out of RAM, which will cause massive disk trashing if actually running. If BOINC goes into idle mode it will most probably try to park the WIP into VM absent sufficient RAM.

so i saw the matrix...it is accurate, 'cause:
----------------------------------------FA@h uses 340MB of swap...so 2xFA@h equals to 680MB of swap...add the WinXP with 250 (min. 190MB, max. 330MB) equals to 930MB (min. 870MB, max. 1010MB) of swap... though i think the HPF2 facts are little under-astimated! thoigh i don't know where to get those informations that you listed? is there some BOINC .txt file with info about jobs done? |

On WXP pro and Vista you can set additional columns In TaskManager to record peak usages and otherwise, don't know of other ways but to observe.
----------------------------------------Edit: Inserted "In TaskManager"
