How do I remove member from team

I have a team member whose PC was destroyed and will not be able to participate for a while and will probably use a different PC name.
How do I remove them from my team since they are not able to login and remove themselves from the team?
What happens to the existing calculation they were working on - do I to do something to get this restarted on another PC?

Re: How do I remove member from team

Hi,

I have a team member whose PC was destroyed: Do you need a sleuth for the "Who done it"?

and will not be able to participate for a while and will probably use a different PC name. S/he can use the same PC and Member name for a new device.

How do I remove them from my team: No one can but the Member by retiring in the My Grid > Team link page. The points while part of a team , stay with the team

since they are not able to login and remove themselves from the team?: There is an option to have the passwrd and or even the member name emailed, long as the member knows the email address used for registration. See Help for instructions

What happens to the existing calculation they were working on: They will expire and get automatically send to another Member's device

- do I to do something to get this restarted on another PC? Install and register software on new PC under the old member name.
biggrin

Re: How do I remove member from team

When he rejoins, ask him to make sure he joins as an existing member.
That will tie any new computers to his same membername. After many tests and ancient computers that are long gone, I am showing 110 devices. 4 remain and are active at the moment.

It should not affect your team. He will pick up where he left off when he sends new work from another computer.

The other workunits will likely be lost, but they will be sent out again, and there are plenty of other workunits out there.
