Look seneger or whatever your name is.....you have been told what is happening and why, if you do not like what is here then I suggest yougo somewhere else. In any case shut up your moaning is giving me a head ache..... I haven't been told why, I have only been told what. I know it's not this way in every single other BOINC project, so it's not god given but a choice made by the project guys'n'gals. I gives me a headache why such a strange behaviour is occurring, I don't see any reason for it. I like the science here, that's why I'm here, I will even live with this sub-optimal settings of this web pages because of the valid science. But I'd like the web pages to behave in an ordinary manner, serving the users, not hindering them. Stats are nice to have, but account management is of more importance. I fail to see the reason why account management is shut down just because of those stats. |

It is possible to log onto the forum during this time, but you can't go to the my grid section during stats computation time. In the past, you couldn't log on to the forum at all, so this much is an improvement. Where's that dead horse, again?
----------------------------------------Another thing I fail to see is why the estimated time is so badly calculated and switches from 50 seconds to 55 minutes in 1 minute, it was definitely completely clear at the time the 50 second estimate was given, that that was a fake and it would take another hour. The estimated time for the member statistics and estimated time for the team statistics are calculated separately since they are separate programs.

----------------------------------------at least I know now that this strange behaviour is something from the past, and that changing it would probably be something a bit tough. I would definitely be good to have the various parts of this web page a bit less interwoven, but it's just an inconvenience. I'd like some better error messages nevertheless, and especially the obvious wrong one about the timing estimate should be changed to a valid one. P.S.: Absolutely no thx to the troll Scribe. With more unfriendly ranters like you this forum will look quite precious ;) |
