Dave,
Thanks so much for the heads up on the HDTV receiver! I'm definately buying one! Also, hope the snow doens't reach too high in your place. If you need help with furniture, I'll give you my good friends' phone numbers who go to UChicago who will certainly be willing to give you a hand. They're good cats who appreciate what you do.

Jonathan --
I am sure you will enjoy the HDTV receiver! Thanks for the offer of help, but I really doubt that the snow will get high enough to reach my apartment since it would have to be over 32 feet deep or so to reach my fifth floor apartment. I also had the foresight to have had four sons, three of whom live in the area. The fourth, my oldest, is in his senior year at Beloit College in Wisconsin. He went there for a year after high school and only learned to party. After becoming disabled himself, he returned and started all over. He will graduate in the spring in anthropology, six months shy of his 40th birthday.

Fantastic Dave! I really didn't think the snow would get high enough to swamp you in, I just figured you might want a little help moving furniture. By the way, my buddies are also good guys who I'm sure would love to hear some of your stories (as I'm sure you have some good ones). One of them studies biochemistry while the other is a burgeoning literary figure of the same cloth as a Hemingway or a Beckett or a Stoppard.

I wish you all the best and hope your cleaning bots are up and running to maximum efficiency.

A brief note: I just blew the dust out of my CPU heatsink fan and the CPU temp dropped from 72 C to 60 C both under full load as a result. CLEAN YOUR CASES MOTers!

Rain and more rain here but it is nice and warm. It should be 55F today. More chores today. 'Tis the season to be busy.

Send it here! The debate here is if we'll start running out of drinking water before the spring rains come (they don't say anything about the chances of those not coming).

I'm jealous! It is nything but warm here. It got down to 5° F last night (that's -15° C), much lower than had been predicted. Tonight, we are looking at another 2 to 4 inches of snow and the same again Saturday night into Sunday along with freezing rain.

Sounds horrible to me. sad I have a weather station and report weather for my local community. The lowest temp I had this year was last February when it got down to 18F (-8C). The showers stopped now so it is time to venture out. Looks like more rain this afternoon.

I will send it to you. Due to shipping costs, I will have to send it to you in dehydrated form. laughing biggrin Actually what falls as rain and snow between November through April is what we drink from May through October as we seldom get measurable rain then.

Cheers!
