Paused HCC's graphics window is not responsive

I'm running some second HCC task. While it was active, I've opened the graphics window to take a look at it.

Some time later, as the task was preempted by some other one (while being kept in memory), I've noticed that the lower part of the window is blank (white) and some part at the right is black - no problem, just unrefreshed graphics window. Then I wanted to close it and got

End Program - hcc1 version 5.15 [workunit X000.....]
This program is not responding.

To return to Windows and check the status of the program, click Cancel.

If you choose to end the program imediately, you will loose any unsaved data. To end the program now, click End Now.

[ End Now] [ Cancel ]

True. The difference to other Boinc applications I noticed is, that their graphics threads remain running, while the tasks are preempted (and kept in memory). In HCC1 5.15's case the graphics thread seems to be paused and the worst drawback is, closing such window would kill the whole application. (Hopefully it would be safely restarted from the checkpoint upon its next turn.)

Why is HCC1 5.15's graphics thread being supended too? While opened during calculation, it is also not displaying any CPU consuming graphics, so the thread's CPU consumption is not the reason for this app (it was approx. 0.2% of the whole applicationon my computer). IIRC (at least some of the) other WCG's apps' graphics threads remain responsive, while the application is preempted, but I may be wrong.

Re: Paused HCC's graphics window is not responsive

This may possibly be an issue with the new BOINC 6 graphics API.

Can you duplicate this behaviour?

Re: Paused HCC's graphics window is not responsive

I use Boinc 5.10.30, I assume the Boinc 6.0 API is already (partially) incorporated into HCC.

Can you duplicate this behaviour?

Long story short: NO smile

While writing my previous post, I've noticed that the graphics thread is not consuming any CPU cycles, no context switches. Then I've tried to suspend all other tasks in order to resume HCC. The graphics window was imediately responsive and it was possible to close or reopen it. (I've not tried to suspend HCC again.)

Now it is possible to open HCC graphics although it is paused (it is still the same process running like yesterday), like I was used to with all other Boinc apps' graphics windows. The window is responsive as expected. I've yet to try to run and then supend HCC with opened graphics [...] it remains responsive.
(Weird)-:
