I have set the automatical CPU Throttle at 80 % but when i watch my
CPU usage in the Task Manager is jumps from 40 to 100 % and back the whole working time. Is this normal? AMD Athlon 64 3200+ 1 GB RAM |

The BOINC throttle as it exists today is far from perfect, as it bounces between CPU usage to average the throttle you specify. Hopefully this will be fixed someday.
