Is there a FAQ, or web page, or someplace that explains exactly how Challenges work? I am looking for answers to questions like "can a team join after the start date?", "can someone join a team already participating, after the start date and still have it count?", "are tasks counted by their return date, or by their validation date?". I am looking for the detailed answers like those, and more. TIA!

No project specific restriction. Think the retroactiveness to start date was removed. Join a race and same as joining a team, the points/results/run time start counting from thereon for that team/race. The points/results/run time are in statistics counted at validation date. Better had not hold back and flush constantly, but you could try to coordinate a day win within a race to spice it up. The creativeness is entirely yours how to spin things. ttyl

The scary part is that WCG has this Help button right top of every page on this website. http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/help/viewSearch.do?searchString=challenge Crap on a stick! I have been on this project (and web site) for over a year now, and never noticed that "HELP" button/link......ever. Maybe because there is little contrast? Everything seems washed out to me. I did try putting "challenge" in the search field (which is just below the "HELP" link!), and just ended up with forum posts, but those didn't answer the questions I had. Anyway...Thanks! |
