It has made a big difference but unless even more folks get onboard September is not far enough away to hit target. Currently We are 105 days away so maybe 3rd/4th week in October.

However. If we want to hit target on time we seem to need another 461 cores/threads to run until end September

So get out those old phones, that retired rig or even your best gaming machine and even if it only runs for a few hours each day it all helps!!

Me? I am still on the green side of the grass and starting immunotherapy soon in the hope of mopping up a few stragglers missed by the chemotherapy. The way things are I don't expect to make old bones but I should be able to add a few threads to help out until September

Edit: I took the time to re-appraise the situation with regard covid research or pure cancer research for this and what it comes down to is this:

Cancer patients, like me, really need the covid teams to come up with some effective treatments. A lot of cancer patients had to pause treatment because of covid which cannot be good. Cancer patients that get covid have reduced survival expectancy.

My thought then is that if you do cancer work or if you do covid work on behalf of the team then it is all good for both the near future and beyond
