Base Camp will trek to Christians starting May 31st 00:00:01 UTC  Good Morning Base Campers! Business Please see the above Chit-chat Thank you for your offer of hosting Base Camp's old badges, stefada. Somehow the very first one came out in a skewed way. I have to experiment a little with that, and that I cannot find time or energy for just now. But I may return   Chris, it really makes you chauvenist to think of the days we could make miracles footballwise - to beat the Netherlands and Germany and take that cup! Who would have believed ....? Yes, I know your age by now - mine less 25  So you went to New Zealand, adriverhoef. Well, I thought I read that between the lines. Did you make a round trip? Business or fun? Or both? Once NZ was in my plans. Now it is again. Base Camper sunfolk once suggested February to be a good month to visit. Good luck with making your inventory  What a delicious paté, we had, stefada. Yes, HAD! It's all gone ....  It takes forever to construct such one .... Thank you for keeping Base Camp ship shape during my absence. I brought a platter of smørrebrød – open sandwiches – for us to enjoy at the campfire tonight.  |

Smørrebrød with chicken will usually come disguised as a chicken salad  Do take care driving Dad’s car, Mandsen – I look forward to your numbers tomorrow  Good Afternoon Base Campers! Business We kind of idle … if you have any suggestions for the trek that ought to come after Christians, I’m all ears. Chit-chat Sunday was the last chance to see an exhibition featuring the architect Dorte Mandrup ’s works. She has designed a new visitor center at the Danish Wadden Sea coast. Very special. Thick, thick thatching almost to the ground. I saw that for real when I toured the area less than a month ago and love it. She has also designed one for the German part of the Wadden Sea at Wilhelmshaven, and just recently, she wan the competition for one to be built at Lauwersoog in the Netherlands with this project. The Wadden Sea is a UNESCO World Heritage site – one measuring some 500 km/333 miles. They call her three projects The Wadden Sea Trilogy. She certainly knows how to use the inside of her nice head and how to use a pencil. Oh, and she also designed this 'shelter' from where you can watch and listen to the fast moving glacier at the Ilulissat Icefjord in Greenland - which coincidentally is a UNESCO World Heritage site as well  |
