Good Morning Base Campers!
Dan Holtz celebrates his birthday today. He gave himself the gift of joining our Christmas Trek Welcome Dan Holtz, and Happy Birthday once more Now our Motley Crew number no less than 24 crunchers - and it looks as if one Marine - cowykillr - is about to put RAMMIE on the pedestal where he belongs I realised that splitting up left me without a hand mixer - no hand mixer, no whipped cream, no whipped cream, no rice à l'amande ... - so off I go This is a truly Danish Christmas song - lyrics and music Det kimer nu til julefest - The Bell Are Tolling for Christmas Feast ![]() |

Welcome back, Ghost Plane - and get better real soon
I'm sorry to contradict you Yes it is .... - compared to the real thing - and it's for rice à l'amande - and it has to have the very right TEXTURE - in order to FOLD it into the rice porridge - with a GENTLE hand and a LIMBER wrist - it is the most important dish of the year! See: - they intend to eat it with a FORK ![]() This one is far better ![]() |

Good Morning Base Campers!
----------------------------------------Yesterday two crunchers left our Christmas Trek - little mermaid to make herself a stall at Team Crunching@EVGA and she will be back soon - PecosRiverM to his home Team The Christians I wonder what he's up to I'm afraid USAFA 82 should, too Thank you for being there, PecosRiverM Apart from that I can only wish all Base Campers and visiting Musketeers and visiting Vultures - and don den, wishbone when Trekking, a Merry Christmas - normally just a few people go to church during the year but at on December 24 people go in droves- either in the afternoon or at midnight - a new feature - we are early in Denmark lighting our tree tonight - we cannot wait and need the dark for our lights we eat the duck and pork roast with all the trimmings followed by the rice à l'amande, dance around the Christmas tree, open the presents, have coffee, fruit, dates and figs are specials, cookies, candy, confectionary ... it takes a whole lot of eating Højt fra træets grønne - Up High from the Top of the Tree How is your Christmas? Good Evening Base Campers!
I have tried to place Christmas greetings with the teams we have visited since I returned to Base Camp. That happened to dig up two BitBender threads Two of the teams we visited have no team threads, so: Episcopaleans - deltavee's own team and Boise Idaho - of which nap2614 ought to be the Captain - well, it feels awkward - but Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to two fine teams which we enjoyed visiting. Being the early bird who wins the marzipan mouse, my Christmas is done. Little Fairy, the fragile lady who lives across the hall from me, and who has allowed me to become her friend and inflict new dentures on her, hosted our party, and I cooked the best I could. And we'll do it again next year. I thought some of you might enjoy seeing how the cooking and the the eating went - and how we did not make it more complicated than we could manage it Christmas 2011 |
