Hi all,
----------------------------------------I know this is a test version but I'm unable to get new work. I have been able to get work till yesterday. I have tried resetting the project but something is still stopping stuff. Here is the extract from the messages tab.
Now I have something like 5 GB free HDD space & in the default preferences it is written that one can take 4.0 GB. The only thing to make sure that 500 MB of space should be left Using 80% of the total disk space. So why do I get the above error? Any help/guidance would be appreciated. Well, the problem seems painfully obvious.
Why do you have so little disk space available to BOINC? |

Preferences limit disk usage to 0.08GB Look in BOINC Manager - Advanced - Preferences and increase the available disk limit. Check My Grid - Device Manager and select your Profile. Make sure that you maximize your usage limits. Lawrence |

Hi Shirish:
I've set all my machines to run giving BOINC max 100%. Haven't had any problems with: email, net surfing, wordprocessing, compiling stuff, playing games, etc. all running BOINC 24/7. Don't hold back. . . . just go for the max. you can then scale back if your unsatified. I doubt you will be unhappy and you'll get more work done. Best PaulT |
