After installing Boinc 5.10.22 (this was the version that the WCG script on the download page here 'suggested' to me when I hit the update button (from Boinc 5.10.13) Suggested? What? LOL! I then changed projects to DDT and Help Conquer Cancer. I am now only getting DDT even *after* checking it off last evening in favor of just running Help Conquer Cancer. I am running an AMD 64 3500+ with Windows Pro SP-2.
----------------------------------------Any suggestions on how to stop the DDT work units? Should I try the "Suspend" button in the Projects tab? Thanks! I really need to get a quad core ...  |

Did you get the HCC project before?
----------------------------------------if not, than the HCC isn't active now...you will be getting it, when the server gets sending it...so for now, keep crunching! i also don't get the HCC project, and it's selected for crunching (with 3computers at home & 12 at work).... and keep track on the forum...the site mods will confirm this on deny! ---------------------------------------- [Edit 1 times, last edit by KLiK at Nov 2, 2007 6:14:26 PM] |

WCG tends to soft peddle the throttle on a new project launch. I'd not be surprised that those being quick to tick the "HCC only" option sucked up most all the initial HCC batches in this case. Those multi-project crunchers would get little. But, now that you chose only HCC (Both in My Projects and in the Device Profiles), without the backup option ticked, you should have been receiving messages like "No work available for this project or platform.... sending you other work"
----------------------------------------Hitting the Suspend button in the Project tab would stop WCG entirely. Suspending work in the Tasks Tab does nothing. BOINC still knows and considers all work in the buffer and aborting works reverse..... it cuts into the daily quota real fast. PS, i was quick and got 3 sets of 10 :o)
