Is there a way to update the url for the team homepage?
I tried searching the forum but it kept coming up with 'Join our team' posts. |

Only the team captain can do this.
If you are your team's captain, then there is an "edit team" button on your team page. If not, then ask your captain to do it, or request a change of captain. |

I believe my Kaptain has been trying to get the team changed over to him. I will post a link to this thread on our team site for him. Can the mods/admin change the Kaptain or will he have to wait?
What is the scoop on changing Team Kaptain? Thanks |

He needs to send an email to support@worldcommunitygrid.org then wait while WCG try to contact the current captain. If they get no reply or if the captain steps down, then WCG will make the change.

I am the kaptain our team wants. I sent an email in the past, got an ansewer but it was not really helpful, basically telling me nothing could be done.
Our current kaptain has been inactive here for a couple of years and not ever active on any BOINC projects. MEmbers of our team on the BOINC projects would like me to be kaptain here also. I tried to email the current using the new contact the kaptain button, it tells me that he has declined to receive emails and there is no way to send a message. Please send me an email via the "contact us" button on the bottom of most pages of our website and I will contact the old captain and if s/he does not respond we can remove him/her as captain. Thanks. Tedi |

I sent one yesterday from my home email to the email address listed above by Didactylos.
I included reference to this thread, the situation, our team number and my email address, which should match the email address I have on file with WCG. Take your time, I'm in no hurry. Only been working on this for 2 years, not just here but on several other BOINC projects. I only have WCG and LHC to go. Many of our BOINC members participate here throught the BOINC interface too. If the current captain wishes to remain captain, have him email me or post here. Our members like having the same captain listed on all projects, that way the know the are joining the correct team. IF he does not want to give up control, all we really need is to be able to contact him, have the description of our team and the url updated to point to our team website.
