Website Updates for November 1, 2007

Website Updates for November 1, 2007

Along with the website content for the new Help Conquer Cancer project, we rolled out a few additional changes as follows:

1. Added an FAQ for downloading the Mass Install Document. The Mass Install document is beneficial for organizations wishing to install World Community Grid on large number of computers. The FAQ may be viewed by clicking here.

2. After testing Microsoft Vista for several months, we've added some Vista FAQs which may be viewed by clicking here. In addition, the Windows System Requirements have been updated to include Vista. The system requirements may be viewed by clicking here.

3. Modified the BOINC preferences to make them easier to use and add new settings available with the new BOINC 5.10 client. The information may be viewed by clicking here.

4. Modified the last page of the install sequence page with instructions for BOINC 5.10. Previously they were for BOINC 5.4. To view the new information, please click here.

5. The device installed and registered dates were not localized. Some dates would show in English even if a member had chosen to view the site in a different language. This has now been fixed to reflect the correct local date.

6. As part of our overall UD to BOINC migration strategy, the BOINC device profiles will now appear ahead of the UD devices profiles for members who are both on BOINC and UD.

7. Magazine Print Adds 1 and 2 were removed from the News and Media page because the contract for those expired. If you've never seen the News and Media page, click here.

8. The Advisory Board terms for Ms. Zoe Baird (Markle Foundation) and Dr. Daniel Hollander (Broad Foundation) expired and thus their names were removed from the Advisory Board page. To view the Advisory Board page, click here.
