Why can’t these catch-up units have longer deadlines? Maybe 4 or 5 days?
I get over a dozen of these “catch-up” units everyday (35+ PC’s) and I know if I don’t bring these units to the top of the queue using boicview some would expire. And this side note, I just received a new cancer work unit that has a deadline of the 3rd. You can’t tell me this is a catch-up work unit when the project just started?!? My suggestion/feedback is just a little longer times for catch-up work units, please. |

Brink,
----------------------------------------You wont have to do that unless the machine(s) is / are not 24/7. The scheduler should thoroughly take care of automatically bringing these jobs forward and eventually process them in high priority. To counter getting these perceived conflicts, reduce the buffer sizes. The new client (5.10.22) but now also the web-profiles have a better control setting being the 'additional buffer' option. This way the connect can be set to a normal daily or hourly which ensures regular flushing of completed work and "Ready to Report" clearing. Cheers
