Hi,
To Adywebb: Both the manager and client are in the Synaptic Package Manager as I said (maybe not clearly) in my previous post. However, on my latest install of 64Bit Ubuntu I got computational errors until the WCG server refused me any more work units. The next day I got more work units and these ran as you hope they would. On a new install of Ubuntu, the first thing I do is install Boinc so that whilst downloading and installing other necessities my machine is doing useful work. On this occasion I got the computational errors (on other machines running 64Bit I have not had this problem, but maybe I did things a different way round. Can't remember.) The problem went away the next day, having installed all the secondary stuff, which probably included some 32Bit libraries. It maybe I did something wrong or something didn't complete as it should and I got my errors. Anyway that was my experience and now everything is running OK. Great to be working together. -- Zoot |
