Having a problem, I have been running Boinc for some time now and about 4 weeks ago when I was updating my project I got this message World Community Grid Scheduler request failed: problem with the SSL CA cert (path? access rights?)
and then this Access to reference site succeeded - project servers may be temporarily down. this has been going on now for at least 4 weeks and I can't get any new work. I have the ca-bundle.crt in /var/lib/Boinc. I am running Boinc Manager 5.8.15 and running linux. Any ideas what might be causing my problem?  |

ca-bundle.crt needs to be in the directory that you are executing the core client from - put it there and let us know if it works.

That's misleading, knreed. It must be in the data directory.

Hi
 my directory is locate in /var/lib/boinc. I'm not very familiar with the Gentoo port. Unfortunately, it isn't well documented.
Everything in the log looks reasonable. The only question I want to ask is what permissions you have given to ca-bundle.crt If you are starting boinc using /etc/init.d/boinc then BOINC will be running as user "boinc". |

yes I am using /etc/init.d/boinc, not sure what the problem is I have tried everything reset project as well. Is there a way for me to delete my account and start again new? don't know if that will work but worth a try, I have worldcommunitygrid working on my windows comp so I am still crunching there, but that is under another user name, hmmm could there be a conflict?
Anyway the new version of Boinc will be in distro soon maybe that will clear up the problem. |
