sending results back

I notice it does not immediately send the results back when they are 100% completed. I can see from my tasks tab that my WU is done but there is no click to send now option.

conversely when in the transfers tab, the completed unit is absent. Yet this is the only way to manually send in a unit.

it makes no sense. I think you should add a send result button under the tasks tab (only accessable when completion value is 100%)

Re: sending results back

It makes perfect sense, Shinobi Gaiden biggrin There is another server that does the "send results back" part of the WU. Just let the server contact your machine when it has scheduled it to be retreived biggrin

It's all perfectly normal and you will see how in the message tab it will tell you when the contact happened. Something like: Requesting 810 sec of new work and reporting 1 (or more) completed tasks

This way the servers are not being overloaded and everything runs on schedule.

Have a great evening!!

Re: sending results back

If you go to the "Projects" tab/page and then click on "Update" in the left hand column -- BOINC will look at your tasks and send all that are 100% complete.
Hope this helps

Re: sending results back

Shinobi Gaiden, the reason you don't see the results in the transfer tab is because the results have been sent already. If you check the messages tab, you will see that results are uploaded immediately.

The reporting step is separate, and is usually folded into the next request for more work.
