After a 6 months absence, I've finally rejoined. Work implemented a filtering proxy here that prevented me from connecting and getting work units, but I've now argued for my own private connection (I do work which is very disruptive to the rest of the network, so they gave me my own private network, without the filtering)

The deal is though, 90% of the time I am on the normal corporate network. When I do my ethical hacking though, I transfer to the other unrestricted network. So that's about a couple days a fortnight.

My question is, how do I configure the client to download 2 week's worth of work in one go, so I can process it while I'm still on the corporate network, and then send it back and get more when I connect to my private network?

On other news, I have a phase change cooled Quad core being added tonight. It's currently clocked stable at 3.6ghz (stock is 2.4ghz) but I'm hoping to get it to 4.4ghz stable. :) I'm gonna love to see how quickly that can pump out work units.

For myself, I think that project has higher priority than the others. Cancer is a world wide epidemic that almost does not discriminate. AIDS... there's a degree of "risk mitigation" that sensible people can take, Climate change... Important, but it's happening slowly, and there's an irony to using more electricity to solve climate change...

Anyway... I'd rather focus on one project and help get it finished sooner, than spread my efforts between many.
