Book of John con't
---------------------------------------- Joh 5:1 After this there was a feast of the Jews; and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. Joh 5:2 Now there is at Jerusalem by the sheep market a pool, which is called in the Hebrew tongue Bethesda, having five porches. Joh 5:3 In these lay a great multitude of impotent folk, of blind, halt, withered, waiting for the moving of the water. Joh 5:4 For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had. Joh 5:5 And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years. Joh 5:6 When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole? Joh 5:7 The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me. Joh 5:8 Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk. Joh 5:9 And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked: and on the same day was the sabbath. Joh 5:10 The Jews therefore said unto him that was cured, It is the sabbath day: it is not lawful for thee to carry thy bed. Joh 5:11 He answered them, He that made me whole, the same said unto me, Take up thy bed, and walk. Joh 5:12 Then asked they him, What man is that which said unto thee, Take up thy bed, and walk? Joh 5:13 And he that was healed wist not who it was: for Jesus had conveyed himself away, a multitude being in that place. Joh 5:14 Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee. Joh 5:15 The man departed, and told the Jews that it was Jesus, which had made him whole. Joh 5:16 And therefore did the Jews persecute Jesus, and sought to slay him, because he had done these things on the sabbath day. Joh 5:17 But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh hitherto, and I work. Joh 5:18 Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken the sabbath, but said also that God was his Father, making himself equal with God. Joh 5:19 Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise. Joh 5:20 For the Father loveth the Son, and showeth him all things that himself doeth: and he will show him greater works than these, that ye may marvel. Joh 5:21 For as the Father raiseth up the dead, and quickeneth them; even so the Son quickeneth whom he will. Joh 5:22 For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son: Joh 5:23 That all men should honor the Son, even as they honor the Father. He that honoreth not the Son honoreth not the Father which hath sent him. Joh 5:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life. Joh 5:25 Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live. Joh 5:26 For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself; Joh 5:27 And hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is the Son of man. Joh 5:28 Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, Joh 5:29 And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation. Joh 5:30 I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me. Joh 5:31 If I bear witness of myself, my witness is not true. Joh 5:32 There is another that beareth witness of me; and I know that the witness which he witnesseth of me is true. Joh 5:33 Ye sent unto John, and he bare witness unto the truth. Joh 5:34 But I receive not testimony from man: but these things I say, that ye might be saved. Joh 5:35 He was a burning and a shining light: and ye were willing for a season to rejoice in his light. Joh 5:36 But I have greater witness than that of John: for the works which the Father hath given me to finish, the same works that I do, bear witness of me, that the Father hath sent me. Joh 5:37 And the Father himself, which hath sent me, hath borne witness of me. Ye have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his shape. Joh 5:38 And ye have not his word abiding in you: for whom he hath sent, him ye believe not. Joh 5:39 Search the Scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. Joh 5:40 And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life. Joh 5:41 I receive not honor from men. Joh 5:42 But I know you, that ye have not the love of God in you. Joh 5:43 I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive. Joh 5:44 How can ye believe, which receive honor one of another, and seek not the honor that cometh from God only? Joh 5:45 Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father: there is one that accuseth you, even Moses, in whom ye trust. Joh 5:46 For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he wrote of me. Joh 5:47 But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words? ![]() |

Book of John con't
---------------------------------------- (I am switching versions to God's Word [GW])Joh 6:1 Jesus later crossed to the other side of the Sea of Galilee (or the Sea of Tiberias). Joh 6:2 A large crowd followed him because they saw the miracles that he performed for the sick. Joh 6:3 Jesus went up a mountain and sat with his disciples. Joh 6:4 The time for the Jewish Passover festival was near. Joh 6:5 As Jesus saw a large crowd coming to him, he said to Philip, "Where can we buy bread for these people to eat?" Joh 6:6 Jesus asked this question to test him. He already knew what he was going to do. Joh 6:7 Philip answered, "We would need about a year's wages to buy enough bread for each of them to have a piece." Joh 6:8 One of Jesus' disciples, Andrew, who was Simon Peter's brother, told him, Joh 6:9 "A boy who has five loaves of barley bread and two small fish is here. But they won't go very far for so many people." Joh 6:10 Jesus said, "Have the people sit down." The people had plenty of grass to sit on. (There were about 5,000 men in the crowd.) Joh 6:11 Jesus took the loaves, gave thanks, and distributed them to the people who were sitting there. He did the same thing with the fish. All the people ate as much as they wanted. Joh 6:12 When the people were full, Jesus told his disciples, "Gather the leftover pieces so that nothing will be wasted." Joh 6:13 The disciples gathered the leftover pieces of bread and filled twelve baskets. Joh 6:14 When the people saw the miracle Jesus performed, they said, "This man is certainly the prophet who is to come into the world." Joh 6:15 Jesus realized that the people intended to take him by force and make him king. So he returned to the mountain by himself. Joh 6:16 When evening came, his disciples went to the sea. Joh 6:17 They got into a boat and started to cross the sea to the city of Capernaum. By this time it was dark, and Jesus had not yet come to them. Joh 6:18 A strong wind started to blow and stir up the sea. Joh 6:19 After they had rowed three or four miles, they saw Jesus walking on the sea. He was coming near the boat, and they became terrified. Joh 6:20 Jesus told them, "It's me. Don't be afraid!" Joh 6:21 So they were willing to help Jesus into the boat. Immediately, the boat reached the shore where they were going. Joh 6:22 On the next day the people were still on the other side of the sea. They noticed that only one boat was there and that Jesus had not stepped into that boat with his disciples. The disciples had gone away without him. Joh 6:23 Other boats from Tiberias arrived near the place where they had eaten the bread after the Lord gave thanks. Joh 6:24 When the people saw that neither Jesus nor his disciples were there, they got into these boats and went to the city of Capernaum to look for Jesus. Joh 6:25 When they found him on the other side of the sea, they asked him, "Rabbi, when did you get here?" Joh 6:26 Jesus replied to them, "I can guarantee this truth: You're not looking for me because you saw miracles. You are looking for me because you ate as much of those loaves as you wanted. Joh 6:27 Don't work for food that spoils. Instead, work for the food that lasts into eternal life. This is the food the Son of Man will give you. After all, the Father has placed his seal of approval on him." Joh 6:28 The people asked Jesus, "What does God want us to do?" Joh 6:29 Jesus replied to them, "God wants to do something for you so that you believe in the one whom he has sent." Joh 6:30 The people asked him, "What miracle are you going to perform so that we can see it and believe in you? What are you going to do? Joh 6:31 Our ancestors ate the manna in the desert. Scripture says, 'He gave them bread from heaven to eat.'" Joh 6:32 Jesus said to them, "I can guarantee this truth: Moses didn't give you bread from heaven, but my Father gives you the true bread from heaven. Joh 6:33 God's bread is the man who comes from heaven and gives life to the world." Joh 6:34 They said to him, "Sir, give us this bread all the time." Joh 6:35 Jesus told them, "I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never become hungry, and whoever believes in me will never become thirsty. Joh 6:36 I've told you that you have seen me. However, you don't believe in me. Joh 6:37 Everyone whom the Father gives me will come to me. I will never turn away anyone who comes to me. Joh 6:38 I haven't come from heaven to do what I want to do. I've come to do what the one who sent me wants me to do. Joh 6:39 The one who sent me doesn't want me to lose any of those he gave me. He wants me to bring them back to life on the last day. Joh 6:40 My Father wants all those who see the Son and believe in him to have eternal life. He wants me to bring them back to life on the last day." Joh 6:41 The Jews began to criticize Jesus for saying, "I am the bread that came from heaven." Joh 6:42 They asked, "Isn't this man Jesus, Joseph's son? Don't we know his father and mother? How can he say now, 'I came from heaven'?" Joh 6:43 Jesus responded, "Stop criticizing me! Joh 6:44 People cannot come to me unless the Father who sent me brings them to me. I will bring these people back to life on the last day. Joh 6:45 The prophets wrote, 'God will teach everyone.' Those who do what they have learned from the Father come to me. Joh 6:46 I'm saying that no one has seen the Father. Only the one who is from God has seen the Father. Joh 6:47 I can guarantee this truth: Every believer has eternal life. Joh 6:48 "I am the bread of life. Joh 6:49 Your ancestors ate the manna in the desert and died. Joh 6:50 This is the bread that comes from heaven so that whoever eats it won't die. Joh 6:51 I am the living bread that came from heaven. Whoever eats this bread will live forever. The bread I will give to bring life to the world is my flesh." Joh 6:52 The Jews began to quarrel with each other. They said, "How can this man give us his flesh to eat?" Joh 6:53 Jesus told them, "I can guarantee this truth: If you don't eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you don't have the source of life in you. Joh 6:54 Those who eat my flesh and drink my blood have eternal life, and I will bring them back to life on the last day. Joh 6:55 My flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink. Joh 6:56 Those who eat my flesh and drink my blood live in me, and I live in them. Joh 6:57 The Father who has life sent me, and I live because of the Father. So those who feed on me will live because of me. Joh 6:58 This is the bread that came from heaven. It is not like the bread your ancestors ate. They eventually died. Those who eat this bread will live forever." Joh 6:59 Jesus said this while he was teaching in a synagogue in Capernaum. Joh 6:60 When many of Jesus' disciples heard him, they said, "What he says is hard to accept. Who wants to listen to him anymore?" Joh 6:61 Jesus was aware that his disciples were criticizing his message. So Jesus asked them, "Did what I say make you lose faith? Joh 6:62 What if you see the Son of Man go where he was before? Joh 6:63 Life is spiritual. Your physical existence doesn't contribute to that life. The words that I have spoken to you are spiritual. They are life. Joh 6:64 But some of you don't believe." Jesus knew from the beginning those who wouldn't believe and the one who would betray him. Joh 6:65 So he added, "That is why I told you that people cannot come to me unless the Father provides the way." Joh 6:66 Jesus' speech made many of his disciples go back to the lives they had led before they followed Jesus. Joh 6:67 So Jesus asked the twelve apostles, "Do you want to leave me too?" Joh 6:68 Simon Peter answered Jesus, "Lord, to what person could we go? Your words give eternal life. Joh 6:69 Besides, we believe and know that you are the Holy One of God." Joh 6:70 Jesus replied, "I chose all twelve of you. Yet, one of you is a devil." Joh 6:71 Jesus meant Judas, son of Simon Iscariot. Judas, who was one of the twelve apostles, would later betray Jesus. ![]() |

Has anybody else tried to get WUs for AfricanClimate@Home? I have my profile set to only crunch this project and not to accept anything if WUs are unavailable. Yet, I continue to get HPF2 WUs. I read through the AfricanClimate threads and followed all the suggestions. I'm puzzled why I'm getting HPF2 WUs on my Boinc machines if I have my profile set not to accept them.

I don't know Mike. I can only think to remind you to make sure you hit save after you check marked AC@H making sure all the others are unchecked, and then hit save. On your BOINC manager make sure you clear any preference override and hit update. This should reset your profile and then if there are no WU's available the project should tell you no work available and not download any other project but AC@H when and if a WU is available, it would download.
----------------------------------------Hmmm, what are your preferences set at as far as work cache and contacting the servers? Although if you followed the suggestions, then your probably set up fine. I am sure I'm not telling you anything you haven't done already, but I don't have any other suggestions ![]() ![]() |
