Thank you I was 21 * 2 yesterday but at least it's the answer to life, the universe and everything and deep thought was right.. I don't like it "Is that all you've got to show for seven and a half million years' work?" btw the answer to life, the universe and everything isn't 6*7 It's Jesus. Make it a great day Dave ![]() |

The farrier is coming to the stable today :) I get to see how they trim the hooves and shoe.
----------------------------------------Since most of the horses are rescues, if nobody pays for each animal to get trimmed, then they won't get trimmed. Some horses have sponsors which allows them to get the extra care needed from the vet and the farrier, extra feed and extra blankets. Notice the word "extra" which goes above the usual care given I am donating the $30.00 for Sonny to get his feet done today. He is just about 3 yrs. old and has no owner or sponsor. He has papers I guess, which show he has a pedigree (?) don't know really. He needs 'gelding' (fixed, castrated) so he can go outside. That costs around $100.00 (plus fee for coming to the farm), so I am going to start saving for this. He needs to get out of his stall and this is the only way he can. Otherwise the other gelded males will attack him, and/or he could become a father which is not what anyone wants LoL So I look forward to the day when he can go and eat grass for the first time! He likes to play and is really stealing my heart! I also bought a 50 pound bag of molasses feed so I could give 'extra' to Sonny, and Uno (9 months old). Some new pics and a few short videos I took with my cell phone Here I will try to take pics of the farrier :) and I hope Sonny does good, because he doesn't get out of his stall much, only for cleaning. But his life is turning around!! Praise God! Hugs~ ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by Diana G. at Feb 7, 2008 1:39:26 PM] |
