Hello everyone,
I am sorry if I am so blind and was not able to find solution myself, but: I have Windows Vista and installed BOINC v.5.10.22. Everything works fine, but after I start computer again, job is immediately finished and marked as sent back even when I know that I had about 34% work finished. This action was done even with UD agent, but with Win XP there was no problem with UD agent for few months. I tried to do some proposed steps stated on forum about Vista compatibility, namely 1, 2, and 5. No change. Please can you advise me what to do? I do not want spoil my contribution to greater cause. It's funny how hours ago someone wrote that 5.10.22 'ought' to have fixed the Vista issues and here we read points 1,2, and 5 found no solution. It's my suspicion though for the moment that point 5 execution did not stick. Can you visit the Registry and at the path "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control" indicated the value "WaitToKillServiceTimeout"="60000" took hold. A boot is required to let it take effect.

Thank you for your answer, I confirm that in registry is value 60000. I tried to do some investigation and closed BOINC during work and started it again after about half hour without Vista shutdown. Yes, it works fine, it continues at the point where stopped before. So advice to close BOINC about minute before Vista shutdown works. But I am sure that I will forget to do it every day
