This may have previously been suggested, but I have not found thread yet. Aplogies for duplication.
Question: Could a meter or appropriate graphic be added to the statistics page of each medical study to show the relative progress of their combined work efforts? It does not need to be "highly detailed". Even a 1/4, 1/2, 3/4 etc. would be a quick report back to the web viewers for all their CPU months of sweat. Thanks! |

Hello aawoodchip,
So far, every project has been of 'indefinite' length. The nature of research makes fixed goal posts uncertain. The goal keeps changing. I agree that it would be nice to see a 'progress meter'. Perhaps someday we shall undertake a project with a definite fixed length. Genome Comparison came very close to this and, after it had been running for a while and a definite decision made about just what to do, the GC website had a page showing the percent completed which was updated at frequent intervals. Our other projects have had more frequent changes of goals. Lawrence |

But it has not been updated in a while. ![]() Normally, a FAAH update consists of saying which experiments have been finished (which usually includes adding a previously unannounced experiment) and then listing some upcoming experiments. It isn't really a smoothly progressing progress bar, headed for 100%, which is what I interpreted aawoodchip's suggestion to mean. Of course, I am likely to be wrong since aawoodchip has been around for quite a while and has seen a few projects come and go. Lawrence |
