Re: Mac and PC - issues? - help please

I wonder what these little (highlighted) and maybe embarrassing lines are in each of the Mac OS science criteria:

HPF2
* An Intel processor
* At least 250 MB RAM (with virtual memory enabled)
* 600 MB Hard Disk Drive with at least 100 MB available for use
* The ability to display 8-bit graphics at 800x600 resolution
* Operating System: OS/X
FAAH
* An Intel or PowerPC processor
* At least 250 MB RAM (with virtual memory enabled)
* 600 MB Hard Disk Drive with at least 50 MB available for use
* The ability to display 8-bit graphics at 800x600 resolution
* Operating System: OS/X

Tell me what is left to guess here?

Ah. Being snakry always helps.

First: Guessing isn't required when multiple pages don't contradict one another.

Second: "Operating System: OS/X" is ambiguous. We all know that BOINC applications are not Universal. So why not be explicit? For the windows apps, WCG is extremely explicit, going as far as to talk about different flavors of windows.

Third: Why are you fighting this? Is there something wrong with asking for clarity?

Fourth: What you posted, including the bold bits don't match the System Requirements page. I just did a copy/paste here:

For the Human Proteome Folding - Phase 2 project, the minimum requirements are:
* At least 250 MB RAM (with virtual memory enabled)
* 600 MB Hard Disk Drive with at least 100 MB available for use
* The ability to display 8-bit graphics at 800x600 resolution
* An Internet connection with minimum 40 kbps speed
* Operating System: Windows 98, ME, 2000 or XP

For FightAIDS@Home, the minimum requirements are:
* At least 250 MB RAM (with virtual memory enabled)
* 600 MB Hard Disk Drive with at least 50 MB available for use
* The ability to display 8-bit graphics at 800x600 resolution
* An Internet connection with minimum 40 kbps speed
* Operating System: Windows 98, ME, 2000 or XP

Doubting my integrity is not a good thing. You are quoting from the probably the Windows or Linux section which only run on Intel/AMD CPU's. I quoted from the MAC section.

Who is snakry here? You've been explained where to look to see what runs on Intel or PPC, we tell you where to find even more information in a matrix, we told you we'll convey the observations and that's the end of the discussion it seems to me.
