On 9/17/2007, I lost a bunch of credit. I am using the BOINC client and and update of the project informes me as of the writing I have Work Done = 41832.85. HOever, that does not correlate with all of the data found on this site. Please help!

Hello md144ii,
Statistics says that md144ii returned 1 result on 09/17/2007 16:18:03, even though you have been registered since April 2007. What does your Results Status page say? Are you sure that you are registered only as md144ii? Why has your BOINC client returned no valid results in the last 10 days? Lawrence |

Can find atm only one member for WCG at the BOINCstats with 41831 credits from Japan with an entirely different member name, but turning in results. No md144ii or anything similar, so we guess your device is registered under a different member id.

Maybe a screenshot of the BOINC agent projects tab that shows the user name and 41832.85 gives a hint. Dont we love riddles of the multiple identity crunchers.... the answer being that 292824 My Grid points do *NOT* translate back to BOINC points.... BOINC points times 7 add to UD points to make up the My Grid total

There are two accounts. md144ii & mike-steph1. The proper account should be mike-steph1. I have a screen shot of BOINC but not sure how to post a doc file. Client today states 42413.63. Ihave also logged into that account and it does show activity. I am not sure why the one post on the one day in Sep.
Can we merge the accounts and close md144ii? |

Found a problem. One of the computers was using the md144ii account. I have changed it to the mike-steph1 account. All others are using the right account.

Thank you for the support. I had not performed the necesary diagnostics. I looked at the host list but it did not register that the hosts were missing and which ones form the md144ii account. Until today, I had not logged into the mike-steph1 account.
All in all, it was my lack of attention to detail and I apologize. Michael |

Don't worry, it's the beauty, yet at same time source of confusion, that you could register a different name for every machine and every project, but by using the identical email address, caps and all, it will completely merge at BOINCstats. NOT at WCG as that is member name driven project. Some play sub-project/machine roll-up games or chase their own tail by doing this to obscure things.... to each his own

Thank you I have asked the BOINC folks to fix the problem.
Correct account for BOINC to use - http://boincstats.com/stats/user_graph.php?pr=wcg&id=352406 Incorrect account for BOINC to use - http://boincstats.com/stats/user_graph.php?pr=wcg&id=352369 What is confusing, they all have the same cross-project ID. I would be nice from the WCG side that the other account go away, I am not trying to sub-divide at all. It was by mistake. |
