For the first time since I joined WCG I have had a WU reported by ZoneAlarm as trying to access internet. Although I authorized it for once the WU fell in error with the well known -1073741819 error code (access violation says the error log of the WU).

It's possible WCG sent out a message for the WU to abort. They do that sometimes when they discover a bad batch of WU's. Now I don't know what type of communication is involved with this but it's my best guess as to an explanation.

There is, if internet available i think, a routine that checks with servers if a job needs aborting, but that action from servers is explained in the message log. Besides, not the job would do that but BOINC daemon. The fact that 6 were 'Error', the 7th will have done most likely too. Those work units are taken out circulation and investigated.

I have a similar WU also with all on Error, also six now.
