biggrin Making Progress

Wow...been a while since I've been here. Please forgive the severe change in direction of the discussion that this message takes...

Hey Guys! I just bought a new Mac, and installed BOINC as soon as I had it up on my network. I checked out my statistics this morning. WOW. I've retired 2 PC crunchers from service that had been running 24 hours/day (although I may set them up to run nothing but WCG once I have time and space cleared). In the 20 months since I joined WCG, I've racked up the following averages:

Avg. Run Time Per Calendar Day (y:d:h:m:s) 0:001:21:14:20
Avg. Run Time Per Result (y:d:h:m:s) 0:000:10:16:24
Avg. Points Per Hour of Run Time 33.24
Avg. Points Per Calendar Day 1,503.81
Avg. Points Per Result 341.50
Avg. Results Per Calendar Day 4.40

In the past roughly 24 hours on the single machine, I've turned in 19 results for about 7500 points with over 2.5 days run time! That's 125 points per hour of run time, and 3 hrs 10 min per result!

I'm biggrin LOVIN biggrin this new SCREAM Machine! And that's been while I've been 'taxing' the system by moving tons of media onto the new machine, installing software and peripherals.

I'll get the PCs reinstalled over the weekend, if it keeps raining and keeps me out of the garden. But it looks like the Mac will push progress a lot! I've been staring down the barrel of breaking into the top 4,000 for a long time. The Mac should get me there!

GO TEAM GAY US!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
