NGO Assesses Climate Change in Zambia
AfricaNews - A team of researchers has started collecting information on climate change in Zambia. They fear the country might be plunged into the worst disaster it has seen since the AIDS pandemic, so they plan to draw up a national profile that will show how climate change might affect Zambia. |

Earlier, I posted about the extreme weather (cold and snow) in South America and South Africa. I found an interesting article on Earthweek , about about La Nina ocean cooling strengthening in the Pacific. I am posting this, because it is definitely a producer of climate change, and the article contains an animated map of the warming/cooling in the Pacific. Wonder if this had anything to do with the previous cold weather in South America. Another article suggests La Nina is causing the heavy flooding downpours in central Africa.
----------------------------------------Since posting this, I noticed the warming occurring in the Arctic shows up real well in this animation. [Edit 1 times, last edit by littlepeaks at Oct 5, 2007 1:55:51 AM] |

I feel that it is becoming bigger that the difference the temparature of between the cool season like one caused by La Nina and the warm season like one by El nino. |
