This is Courine with you on this late breaking story. Chicken Little, star of screen, fairytale, and barnyard, was found shot today in what has been described as brutal attack for know known reason.

So now we would like to take you live to the scene, with our own Geraldo Rivera to bring into focus this tragic event. Geraldo?

[Geraldo]

Thank you Courine. We are here live, at the barnyard where only minutes ago, Chicken Little, a young hatchling, was allegedly gunned down in cold blood, strangely by his barnyard companion, the one and only, Henny Penny.

It is not known to this reporter why such a horrific and brutal slaying, so lets ask a few questions of those who witnessed the events that preceded the shooting. Ah, Ms. Cow, Ms. Cow, can we have a word with you?

[Ms. Cow]

Yep!

[Geraldo]

Ms. Cow, can you give us a flavor on what has caused this obviously premeditated act?

[Ms. Cow]

Well, I was in the barn getting milked at the time I heard the gun go off, but I seem to remember a lot of clucking and feathers flying getting the whole barnyard stirred up. It was something political I recon.

It was earlier when I saw Chicken Little talking about the sky falling, or something like that. You know, If I were you, I would go talk to Mr. Owl. He is the smartest guy here. Maybe he know what really happened.

[Geraldo]

Thanks Ms. Cow. Let me get over to Mr. Owl to get to the bottom of this M MM Mr Owl, Mr. Owl........... Mr. Owl, did you see what happened.

[Mr. Owl]

Sure did. Saw the whole thing.

First an acorn fell on the chick's head. He then starts running around with his head cut off, claiming that the sky is falling. In the excitement, normal barnyard morals started to bend as it thought the end was near.

In the panic, Henny, after seeing Al Gore's Movie "Inconvenient Truth", mistakenly connects it to the chick's story. Push came to shove when she noticed that a 1 once bird at rest has a carbon dioxide footprint 1/8 the size than when fully active.

I dont know exactly why she was packing. Maybe it was some of the roosters had been giving her problems, but she drew and fired at the same time. It was like she didnt know what a 45 would do to a 1 ounce bird.

[Henny screaming to Geraldo from the police car]

Yes YES, I shot the LITTLE BASTERD BIRD! And I would DO IT AGAIN! If that little SINKING BIRD kept it up, we would all DIE! Do you hear me, DIEEE! It was self-defense, SELF-DEFENCE. You have nothing on me, I'm trying to SAVE THE WORLD! The WORLD mind you, THE WORLD!!!!!!!! Now let me out, LET ME OUT!!!!!!!

[Mr. Owl]

See, we have really 2 victims here.

[Geraldo]

I see what you mean.

Well there you have it. The bottom line of this story up to now. Two victims and a barnyard with a loss of innocence. Was this an attack by acorns or the valiant act of those well intended? After a point though, any lack of perspective can turn even the best of intent into a road straight to hell.

What a shame. One bird in jail and bird just a pile of feathers. A senseless shooting or is this the first death related to global warming? Actually it is what you get when social chaos goes unchecked. An un-needed mess, never cleaned up after the fact by those who made it.

There! We have the confession. A WITCH A WITCH!!!!!!! Build the fire. A WITCH A WITCH!!!!!

[Courine]

Hold on a sec. A fire you say?

[Contestant]

That's right, a nice hot one. Now shut up. We should have you burnt to a crisp in no time.

[Courine]

Ever consider the greenhouse gasses that the fire would make. And if you keep burning witches as you see, you could damage us all?

[Contestant]

Oh, there you go trying to bring in logic and the reality of this matter. We dont need that. We are too busy burning witches. BURNNN BURNNNNN!

[another contestant]

Well, you know, she does have a point. Maybe we should use environmentally sound fuels when we burn our witches.

[Courine]

Well really, no fuel is perfect. You would have to dump me in a volcano or something. Here, why dont you guys use solar. Just build a large concaved mirror and point it at the stake. When your done, I'll come back. What you say?

[Contestant]

[Courine]

Sure, to help your show come into the 21st century, It is the least I can do.

Now the suggestion:

When it comes to the issues revolving around greenhouse gasses and our damage to the environment, keep it to yourself. For as I have seen there is no one here that has half of a clue need to make any comment regarding this matter.

What I can only expect now is a group of people trying to help the gentlemen now building the solar panel to burn witches like me. But this is better than watching another Henny Penny gun down another Chicken Little.
