The project selection page says check out the system requirements page before selecting this project and provides a link, but there is nothing on that page regarding the system requirements for Windows computers.

The Linux version was released first. The web pages will catch up soon. Meanwhile, the requirements should be approximately the same as the Linux version.
Note that memory use peaks at over 600 MB. |

Hi sedgecom,
http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/projects_sh...hFaq.do?shortName=ach#288 says that it will be available on the Mac, but it has not hit the Beta Testing Forum yet, so keep an eye on that forum. Lawrence |

Hi all--
----------------------------------------I unchecked all projects except climate change and (on BOINC) got a message that no work was available for this project. Running Windows XP, and have a cable modem, so I should meet the download speed requirement specified for Linux version. Or am I limited by the 82 WUs available as mentioned by Retsof in a previous post? Has anyone else got the Windows version to run? [Edit 2 times, last edit by littlepeaks at Sep 2, 2007 5:17:20 PM] |

Hello littlepeaks,
----------------------------------------I got one of the (82 * 10) ACH work units for Windows. It took my computer 8.4 hours to crunch. After I returned it, I checked the Results Status and I was one of three who had returned a result. 7 more In Progress! Lawrence Added: More simulation runs will soon be added to the server. It just takes a while to get this project up to speed. [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Sep 2, 2007 5:23:06 PM] |

The name of the task if 'beta' is selected is:
wcg_beta2_wrf_5.10_windows_intelx86 (5.10 in linux as well). |
